Living directly on the Campus Krems
Our Kolpinghaus on Campus Krems offers modern furnishings, student living at the highest level in a family atmosphere, and comfortable rooms for vacation guests and business travelers.
Directly on the university campus, Campus Krems, close to the Danube cycle path that leads to the Kreuzberg (the “local mountain of Krems”) and to the city centers of Krems and Stein, the Kolpinghaus is near the IMC FH Krems and the Karl Landsteiner Private University and only a few meters away from the Danube University.
We’d like to welcome you to our facility!
***IMPORTANT: CORONA ENTRY CERTIFICATION***
Please note that since November 8, 2021, a stay in our Kolpinghaus is permitted by Austrian law only for persons, who are either recovered, or fully vaccinated („2G“ rule) and are able to proof that they are of minor epidemiological risk for a spread of SARS-COV-2.
EXEMPTION of the „2G“ rule:
Accomodation for the purpose of attendance at school or university is still possible with a valid 3G-proof (recovered, fully vaccinated, or tested). Antigen self tests, however, are no longer acceptable!
Please find further information on the current legal safety measures in Austria under: www.sozialministerium.at/Informationen-zum-Coronavirus/Coronavirus—Aktuelle-Maßnahmen.html
Should you plan to arrive outside our reception opening hours, the CORONA entry certification has to be sent to us via e-mail in due time (at the latest until 1 hour before the closing of our reception desk on your day of arrival). Otherwise we will not be able to deposit your key in the keysafe. As a consequence, check-in would not be possible for you!
Please be so kind to show your CORONA entry certification upon check-in and keep the document for the whole duration of your stay. This document is a pre-condition for the issuance of the key.
Short-term cancellations or no-shows because of a missing or delayed CORONA entry certification are with costs. Short-term cancellations because of a positive CORONA test, however, are free of charge.

Comments from guests and residents
During my attendance week at Danube University, I spent a week at the Kolpinghaus Krems. The rooms are well equipped (large desk, comfortable bed). The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location directly on campus makes the Kolping House the ideal accommodation for students of Danube University. The price/performance ratio is also optimal and I can recommend the hotel without hesitation.
Well suited for cyclists. The Hotel Kolpinghaus Krems is centrally located within easy walking distance from Krems and Krems-Stein. Ideal for bike tours along the Danube, to Göttweig, etc., or to Langenlois. There is an underground garage and a bike cellar, both of which can be used by hotel guests.
Cozy dormitory with comfortable beds. Polite, helpful staff. Breakfast is more than adequate and really tasty (had to get used to the caraway bread first).
Right on campus. Parking is available in the underground garage. Afterwards you can reach the reception desk and the room barrier-free via elevator. The rooms are nice, and there was enough space for us and our child. The staff is courteous and the breakfast well worth the price. I’d gladly stay here again.
